Indian visual artist, Rajinder Singh works fulltime out of his studios in Singapore. He was born in Ipoh, Malaysia to two Indian NRIs and lived in United Kingdom for a big part of his life, before moving to Singapore in 1995. He has been painting since an early age and won the first accolade for his work at the age of 12. After an intense tutorship under a veteran English abstract expressionist ,James Holdsworth, in 2002, Rajinder made his comeback to painting. Rajinder was recently selected as one of 20 emerging artists to represent Asia by a juried competition in Hong Kong. He also recently become the first South East Asian artist to be invited to the famous Mourlot studios ( now IDEM )in Montparnasse, Paris to make two lithographs of his work for a private collection. He will be showing in London, Paris,  India, Malaysia, Singapore, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Korea, New York and Argentina in 2008/2009.

Rajinder has had several successful exhibitions and his art has been purchased by prominent households and businesses from around the world. Major private art collectors of the artist are Aliya and Farouk Khan of Malaysia, Baron Gonzalve Bich (of BIC conglomerate) and Franck Duboeuf (of George Duboeuf wines. He is represented by the prestigious Gajah and PACE galleries in South East Asia as well as Nobilarte, Isabelanchorena and Boscia gallery in Paris, Buenos Aires and Melbourne respectively.

Rajinder’s extensive background in Mathematics is the driving force behind his successful art practice. His work has seen worldwide acclaim and  has been described as modern and carries a message of change.

Rajinder is the artist ambassador for the superpremium wine from Tuscany, Capannelle and his art is promoted by  art agents internationally.
