This is the 2nd painting that I painted in this series. I was firmly in my dirty brown period then. A few intense hours about 4am one night in January 2007 set the foundation for this piece. Much of the struggle was with the appropriate response to every mark that I made. This painting, like many others in this series, is a brain dump or a kind of visual brainstorming about the mysteries, mechanics and mathematics of life.
